Whitts Adventures has chosen activities in all parts of our trip that traditionally independent travelers choose to do. For example, in Southeast Alaska, we have chosen the smaller boats as opposed to cruise ships because we can get into many areas the large cruise ships simply can’t go. We feel it will give you a much closer look and feel of this magnificent and exciting part of Alaska. All of our boat trips are on U.S. flagged boats with U.S. crews. Two nights on Kluane Lake is significant, giving you time to hike in the Yukon Territory. As opposed to staying in Fairbanks, we have chosen the quieter Chena Hot Springs Resort.

Skagway's White Pass & Yukon Route is the "Scenic Railway of the World" Built in 1898 during the Klondike Gold Rush, this narrow gauge railroad is an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. Experience the breathtaking panorama of mountains, glaciers, gorges, waterfalls, tunnels, trestles and historic sites from the comfort of vintage parlor cars.

Alaska Wilderness Tours agree with the Inquiap Eskimos that your experience in Alaska will touch you spiritually. We welcome the opportunity to share with you our closeness to the Great Land. Imagine coming within camera range of a grizzly in the wilds of the Wrangell - St. Elias National Park. Or watching an ice glacier break up before your very eyes, "calving" icebergs the size of skyscrapers into the sea. Relive the epic saga of the Gold Rush on a tour through the rip-roaring South central Area.
