| Spavinaw State Park is 3/4 of a mile
south of Spavinaw on Hiway 20. It has 35 park acres with 56 campsites and Lake
Spavinaw has 1,636 acres. Arrowhead State Park is 4 miles east of Canadian off Hiway 69 on State Park Road. It features grand old 102,500 acre Lake Eufaula with 214 campsites on the 2,202 acres of park. Fountainhead State Park gets at 102,400 (it shrunk during the drought) Lake Eufaula 14 miles southwest of Checotah off I-40 and State Hiway 50. The park has 2,853 acres with 105 unimproved sites and 201 picnic sites, and a 3,000 foot airstrip with tie down facilities. Heyburn State Park has 497 park acres and Lake Heyburn has 920 acres. It is found near Bristow, about 12.5 miles west of Sapulpa on Hiway 33. There are 74 campsites. |

Greenleaf state park was the 1996 winner of the prestigious Oklahoma Tourism and Travel Industry Award for NATIVE BEAUTY. Then in 1997 it was selected as the Oklahoma State Park of the Year. Greenleaf Lake has 930 acres and the park has 565 acres. It is found 3 miles east of Braggs and 8 miles west of Gore on State Hiway 10, about an hour from Tulsa. This park has all the amenities, such as a floating grill and heated dock. 2,853 acre Sequoyah State Park features a 101 room Resort Ranch, 54 cottages, 9 meeting rooms, 6 camping areas and 339 campsites. Ft. Gibson Lake has 19,000 acres. 1,190 acre Lake Tenkiller State Park near Vian on State Hiway 82 has 39 cabins, 10 cabanas, 10 camping areas, and 221 campsites. Sequoyah's Home is nearby. Disney Oklahoma has the 32 acre Disney/Little Blue State Park with frontage on the 46,300 acre Grand Lake. You will find 40 campsites there. Disney is also famous for having the nearby longest multiple-arch dam in the world, which spawned this lakeside community in 1939 |

Lake Eucha State Park is the only Oklahoma
State Park where you may rent the entire park and/or pool for private parties.
There are 55 park acres with frontage on 2,880 acre Kaje Eucha. The swimming pool is
a biggie and it looks beautiful. It will do parties of up to 130 with ease.
55 picnic tables and grills will take care of your cooking needs. Tent camping is
available for overnight guests. It is located 5 miles south of Jay on Hiway 59/10 Keystone State Park has 714 acres and fronts on 26,000 acre Keystone Lake. There are 21 cabins with fireplaces, 3 camping areas and 150 campsites. |
1,119 acre Osage Hills State Park has 8 cabins with fireplaces, 2 camping areas and 55 campsites. Don't miss the Tom Mix Museum while you're here.
Salina's 15 acre Snowdale State Park fronts on 12,000 acre Lake Hudson and has 82 campsites.
Beautiful little Adair State Park near Stillwell has 25 acres and a 15 acre pond. There are 33 campsites.

33,428 acre Lake Wister State Park has 15 cabins with fireplaces, 5 camping areas, 172 campsites and a 2,000 acre Waterfall Refuge. Lake Wister holds 4000 acres of water.
Tulsa County has a whole lot going for it. This web site is TOP OF THE LINE for graphics and for usable county information. Make this a definite stop to look around area, and find out in advance where you can go and what you can see.
Raymond Gary State Park, which is 1.5 miles south of Forth Towson on Hiway 209. There are 46 park acres with 105 campsites. Raymond Gary Lake has 390 acres. (640 acres is 1 square mile.)
4 miles south of Atoka on Hiway 7 is Boggy Depot State Park. This has a 6 acre fishing lake and 630 acres of park. There are 91 campsites, a nature trail, baseball, softball, and a playground.
20 acre Talimena State Park has 30 campsites and 10 RV sites.
Striped Bass Bonanza! 12,496 Park Acre Lake Murray
has 5,728 acres of lake surface, 8 camping areas, with 270 campsites. This is just a
few minutes south of Ardmore. You will find electric and water hookup, a motorcycle
usage area, boating facilities, room for skiing, swimming, hiking, horse trail, a
limestone castle housing the nature center and a bicycle rental station. Golfing is
available, and you can rent clubs if you left yours behind. This is clear water lake
one of the best diving locations in Oklahoma. Yes, we might not have
many mountains in Oklahoma, but some of our lakes require deep sea gear to get to the
bottom.
Nearby Lake Texoma has 1,882 park acres and 93,000 lake acres. There's a Resort Lodge there good enough to keep you off the lake. You'll also find 3 camping areas with 562 campsites. You'll find facilities there for everything from archery to who knows what. And of course, you don't get no better bingo playing than Choctaw Bingo! (not that I'm prejudiced, of course.)
McGee Creek Reservoir is 3 miles north of Farris off Hiway 7. It has 3,350 acres of water surface and 2600 acres of park. The country is nice and green, and you can go fishing, boating, hiking, or horsebacking.
Chickasaw National Recreation Area near Sulphur is well built and delightfully maintained. You'll find poison ivy about anywhere you look. Artesian wells are almost as plentiful. Streams and Lakes are especially full in July with more buxom bathing beauties than you can shake a stick at.
* Panhandle Country
About as close to the top of Texas as you can get without becoming contaminated you'll find the 349 acre Black Mesa State Park, close to Kenton. There are 55 campsites and 159 acre Lake Carl Ettling is right there.
* Plains Country
Fort Cobb State Park has 1,872 acres with frontage on 4,100 acre Fort Cobb Lake. There are 300 semi-modern RV sites, 4 large shelters and 700 unimproved tent sites. It is found in southwest OK just 7 miles from Fort Cobb.
Foss State Park is 11 miles west of Clinton and 2 miles north of Hiway 44. It has 1,749 Park acres with 110 campsites and fronts on 8,800 acre Foss Lake.
4,284 acre Quartz Mountain Resort Park is in rugged country near Lone Wolf on Hiway 44-A, about 17 miles north of Altus, which is on Hiway 62 about due west of Lawton some 80 miles. It has 5 camping areas, 130 campsites. 6,260 acre Lake Altus-Lugert is a sight-seeing paradise. But bring your hiking boots, and your camera.
487 acre Great Plains State Park on Hiway 183 near Mountain Park has 60 campsites and fronts on 6,400 acre Tom Steed Lake.
10 acre Crowder Lake State Park is 8 miles south of Weatherford. Crowder Lake is 158 acres.
Shortgrass Wildlife Expeditions provides you with excellent opportunity to get out of the big city and into the great outdoors. Western Oklahoma is some of the most open country there is in the western plains.

Dem cowboys dun werked up a sweat bad bout 30 miles north of Enid and then west bout 30 miles on Hiway 64 to Jet, then 8 more miles north on Hiway 38. There you find the 8,890 acre Great Salt Plains Reservoir & Salt Plains and right beside it is the 840 acre Great Salt Plains State Park with 3 camping areas and 155 campsites.
515 acre Roman Nose State Park has a 45 guest room/2suite Resort Lodge, 10 cottages, 3 meeting rooms, 2 camping areas and 74 campsites. 83 acre Lake Watonga and 8 acre Lake Boecher sweeten the pot. Located on Hiways 8 and *-A 8 miles North of Watonga and about 81 miles northwest of OKC.
40 foot high sand dunes adorn the 1,400 acre Little Sahara State Park near Wanoka, which is about 90 miles west of Enid. There are 45 campsites and a community building.
820 acre Boiling Springs State Park has 200 gallons per minute bubbling up. There are 4 cabins with fireplaces, 2 camping areas and 50 campsites. Shaul Lake has 7 acres. Find it 6 miles east of Woodward on State Hiway 34-C
